we will be glad to work with your doctor to help determine if you are a candidate for treatment
Few eye doctors have seen the procedure performed or managed a patient receiving this treatment
The evaluation for floaters and assessing the "treatability"consists of answering the following three basic, but important questions:
- Can the doctor SEE the floater (not all floaters can be seen even with magnification. See explanation as to why <HERE>)
- Does the exam appearance of the floater CORRELATE or CORRESPOND to the patient's view of the floater (does it make sense? See drawing immediately below)
- Is it safe or optically possible to treat with the laser? (Floater is at least 3 mm away from the retina and not too far out into the periphery?)

LETTER FOR YOUR EYE DOCTOR
This letter of introduction for your eye doctor has some helpful examination hints and might help them with techniques to better visualize and locate the sometimes elusive eye floaters. Print it out and bring it to your eye doctor.
